Zhakathoom It's hard to do reviewes and comments without being somewhat influenced by what others have written before you, but there's really no way around that drumwork.. Coupled with that fantastic cover imagery the drums take on an almost frenzied tribal wardrum quality at times. The screamed vocals add to the hectic and violent mixture and with the addition of solid axework Ape Cave sets a perfect soundscape to the savage upheaval, strife and turmoil set by the visual imagery. Favorite track: Fifth Sun.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Dynamic thick grooves from these Portland sludgesters. Three superb songs but what hit me most about this EP is the drumming, the guy on the skins is a fucking MONSTER! Favorite track: The Dreaming.

Steve Rodger Brilliant dark riff fest, the music and the great cover deserves a vinyl release ..... Favorite track: Ape Cave.

The Dreaming 05:26
Wander in, wandering where mind am Before when, white man became part of them Drew me in, lost mind can't pretend Saw the end before my eyes again and again White man got no dreaming, him go 'nother way White man, him go different, him no longer stay White man, no dreaming Go different, him go 'nother way Reflect on errors past, hear the words I said at last Before we took the trip, chew the tongue, swallow it White man got no dreaming, him go 'nother way White man, him go different, him no longer stay White man, no dreaming Go different, him go 'nother way

Fifth Sun 05:00
A cyclic impulsion, systemic removal Unearthing the firmament, gifts for the sun Releasing the ventricles, raised towards the sky Screams of elation reigned in by blood Cyclical impulse, systemic rebirth Firmament unearth gifts for our god the Sun Past of culture whittled by wind Last of progress riddled by man Sin of culture lost to wind blown No more reason shown

Ape Cave 07:03
Exit the decrepit cave Embrace your life as a slave Far from the mountains, forests of old Resent the falsehoods which you once were told Ape cave Escape the wearisome day Set flame to godheads of old Fumes of the fires show you the way Reclaim your conscience, take back your world
